That is not correct.
First of all the file is not a .zip file but a .tar.gz file. I am using mandrake 9.1 and in kde I can right click the file and click on "extract here". I am sure you can use this option i red hat also. If not read about extracting tar.gz files.
When uncompressed , open a console to the directory where you have the uncompressed files and type
./configure --prefix=/path/to/kdemain
(on mandrake it is ./configure --prefix=/usr , but II am sure it is different on red hat)
After ./configure completes successfully, type
make
then become root by typing
su
then password
then type
make install
if all that completes without errors then you can follow the instructions on the file about applying that style.
