Install from ISO on hard drive...

Hi.

Can I install from an ISO (Live CD) on the hard drive
into another partition?

I'm wanting to use the GUI graphic installer that comes
with many LiveCD linux distros without having to burn
a CD and reboot to do it.

I've seen ways to uncompress, copy, chroot and manually prepare
a system but not using the installer that comes with the distro.

Hya,

I think you can mount ISO image. Once you can mount it, you simply need to start installer program.

Can you be specific please, the file system is compressed (i.e. ubuntu intrepid),
where are you starting the installer?
