install and HD

Guys,
I feel really stupid. maybe cause it is late in night or just because i'm damn.

Anyway :
got Dell 2003 ( mean pretty new machine ) with tons ( 3 Gb ) of memory, net card is in place . Bought brand new 200Gb HD. Ranall test smart etc - everything is fine.
RH9 install : choose FTP.
can't do it!
Saying that it can't retrive the file netstg2.img
on log terminal i can see :
transferring .<filename> to a fd

on terminal 4 I see :
<6>e1000: eth0 NIC Link is Up 100Mbps Full Duplex
<6> attempt to access beyond end of device
<6>07:07: rw=0, want129, limit-120
<4>isofs_read_super: bread failed, dev=07:07, iso_blknum=64, block=120

and that's it.
Do i have to format hd ?
sorry. feel like idiot....

That doesn't seem like a hard drive problem but since your choosing to install by FTP, where you trying to connect to or pull the packages/image down from? Is this a real Redhat 9 CD? If so, why not install by CD?

I got the image from the same site.
I got to this site from linuxiso.com. U know ...

I'm not sure what do u mean by referring to the "real RH cd".
answer to "If so, why not install by CD" - for the hell of it . Just for fun.

I would assume the message: "Saying that it can't retrive the file netstg2.img" that your are recieving has to do with you trying to install via FTP from the particular site you stated. Have you tried any other mirrors or sites? Maybe your pointing to the wrong ftp directory so Redhat can install properly? More details get better replies.

New day - new problems

I just found out that the media was bad. Apparently, burning with speed 25 on the RadioShack's CD is not the option... Anyway i recreated media and now in the middle of the process.
Thank you very much for the help.!!!
