I just installed antix m8. Trying to get compiz up -n- running in Icewm. So far I can only get it working in xfce. If I try to run fusion-icon or (compiz, from the command line) It crashes Icewm. Is Icewm capable of useing cf, or is there some extra configuration needed?
Good answer Can't believe I missed that (doh) So how would I go about useing cf on the default login? Or do I have to login with an alternate dm, xcfe, lxde, etc?
Hope I'm not dragging this out too much, but how would I go about configuring something like that?
Its the minimal part I'm after really. Been messing with screencasting and so far running gtk-recordmydesktop in antix w/ xfce as DM I have gotten the best results. I figure/hope, Logging in w/ cf as wm and no dm, I can get a little better even still.

You can replace lxde-panel with whatever you like for the extra functionality.
Compiz-Fusion is *very* minimal on it's own (you would have to do everything from an xterm without a menu ...).
Pointed me right where I needed for that. Very cool! Got it working in ubuntu, but the script is not adding my new session to antix for some reason. I'll work it out and drop some results soon.
