I have a trouble with installing fedora11 on vmware 6.0


I want to install fedora 11 on vmware 6.0. but it says that you don't have physical drive to install.

i choose scsi hard drive type, but fedora 11 did'nt realized this setting..

What should i do in this situation??

This was a common problem a few years ago, I am not sure if it still exists.
There is a connection you need to add which makes it work, I am forgetting which one. I think making the guest os bios change the hdd type to IDE would work.
I guess you would also needed to apply the vmware-any-any patch.

I have stopped using the vmware workstation/server moved on to VirtualBox. Although, I work with ESX server.

Try the latest version released and VirtualBox instead of vmware.
