There are 2 statements with EE (first is only an information line):
Code:
(WW) warning, (EE) error, (NI) not implemented, (??) unknown.
[ 14.821] (EE) Failed to load module "nv" (module does not exist, 0)
The Xorg.0.log file after attempting to wake up has only 2 further lines added to original one:
Code:
[ 124.684] (II) AIGLX: Suspending AIGLX clients for VT switch
[ 124.684] (II) NOUVEAU(0): NVLeaveVT is called.
How can I correct these errors? Specifically, how can I load module 'nv' which apparently is now deprecated.

Edit: I checked and there was no /etc/X11/xorg.conf file. So I created it with command "# Xorg -configure" after console login. However, this has not corrected waking up from suspend problem.

Installing xfonts-cyrillic and blacklisting nv with command 'echo "blacklist nv" | sudo tee -a "/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf"' has also not helped (even though EE errors in /var/log/Xorg.0.log have disappeared).

nv is the nvidia driver. It looks as if nouveau won't do for your card.
