After installing Fedora 11 on a new drive I noticed that my repository was missing.
I have looked at
http://iplist.sourceforge.net/download.html#fedora which should tell me how to do it.
However the instruction is: To add the repository to Fedora copy the appropriate repo file (as root) to /etc/yum.repo.d.and immediately have problems (being a newbie).
I have downloaded by clicking on the line
Fedora 11 Repo file as instructed. This gave me
home:uljanow.repo, which I believe is the appropriate repo file.
What is meant by "(as root)"?
I thought that the root is the "/" file.
I found /etc/yum. Does it mean I have to copy home:uljanow.repo into /etc/yum?
I have tried to this and I successfully copied home:uljanow.repo, but if I try to paste it into /etc/yum, there is no paste command, nor does Crtl-V work.
What did I do wrong and how should I do it, or alternatively, if there is a completely alternative way of doing it, how do I install the depository into Fedora 11?
