how to find network card type

Where do I look in my red hat 7.1 to find out what kind of network card I have? Without looking at the actual card.

If its a PCI network card then looking at the output of
can often tell you. The problem with finding out what kind of card you have without physically looking is that the software needs to know know already to tell you... catch 22....

Why do you not want to just look??
