Beeing in the graphics mode I have pressed ctrl + alt + backspace, killing the server. In this way I've entered in text mode console. How can I go back in the graphics mode ? using startx command got me an error .
Something seems to be broken, because when I do that, X starts back up. It would help if you also posted what the error says. Even if it doesn't seem to make sense it might to someone. Also, if you know, which X are you using, X.org or Xfree86 (although I'm not sure how to tell you might be able to find out on the distros website).
