help me install gcc 3.0

Please help!

I don't know why the compilation of gcc 3.0 is always incomplete. I am using gcc 2.96 now.

Here are the error message

./configure: test: !=: unary operator expected
checking for exception model to use... configure: error: unable to
detect exception model
make: *** [configure-target-libstdc++-v3] Error 1

thanks.

I highly recommend that you compile gcc 2.91 (egcs 1.1.2) as its less buggy than 3.0 and can be compiled under 2.96
