Most distributions of Linux will come with GCC. If you failed to install it upon installing the operating system, I would suggest taking a look in the add/remove packages component that is available in most distros and install your development tools. Seeing as you are on Fedora Core 2, in one of the system utilities submenus in your main start menu, there should be an add/remove packages utility. You can select the development tools and whatnot from there.

So it didn't automatically take care of those dependancies? Hmmm... well, then basically, on top of thos packages that you installed, you may need to look for the other packages it is asking for. They will also be in the Add/Remove software area. Unfortunately, I am not in front of a Fedora machine at the moment, otherwise I would try and be a little more specific for you. Normally when I am installing a distro, I just install everything, and then remove what I don't need when I feel I don't need it. But on top of installing everything, I also disable all the services I don't use in the init 5 runlevel. That can also be done through a graphical interface in Fedora.
