HD videos are laggy on Chrome

I have experienced both Linux and Windows 10 performence playing video on Youtube.

Windows 10 able to play 4K video without lag even my screen is 1080p and hardware don't support 4K output.

Linux is laggy on 1080p. 720p is a problem if 60 FPS.

Check attachment for about:gpu.

lspci:
Code:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation HD Graphics 500 (rev 0b)
        DeviceName: Onboard IGD
Subsystem: Intel Corporation HD Graphics 500
        Kernel driver in use: i915
        Kernel modules: i915
TLP is disabled, issue persists.

You don't mention your cpu.

Try running a video that lags badly, open a terminal and run top or htop. What's the cpu usage like?

If the box is using software rendering, cpu usage will be through the roof.

You have given us insufficient information to say much more. My raspberry Pi 4B does better on software rendering, so things are seriously wrong. Read this:

How_To_Ask_a_Question

Browsers are poor video players. Better download & play separately.

CPU usage is max while playing video. Core 1 is always 100%, anyway core 0 drops to 10%~ and video stops for a while, then playing laggy for few seconds with 2 cores at 100% usage.

Never tried that. Anyway, it would be better if I can watch videos on Youtube.

I also tried Firefox, Firefox ESR which is preinstalled in Debian and Cromium itself.
