forum server


I want to run a small forum server on a linux box. It would need standard newsgroup fonctionnality.

Any suggestions?

Suggestions for what?
Machine specs? >300Mhz, 128Megs RAM
Distro of choice? Mandrake of course
Best web server? Apache
Best forum software? So many good free ones (vBulletin costs though)

I use phpbb. Check it out at www.phpbb.com . Its easy to install, free, and very nice in my opinion.

I'll second the vote for phpBB. I used to use InvisionBoard, but it was a little too on the graphical side for my liking.
