Better use the enterprise edition of Firefox than the consumer edition. In my opinion Firefox ESR (extended support release) runs smoother, is less buggy and needs fewer updates. Saves time and spares nerves. Thus better overall experience. https://support.cdn.mozilla.net/id/k...rt-release-esr

I will second the above.

I usually use Firefox (ESRs because that's what the distro I use normally provide) and have encountered none of the issues cited in this thread.

Hi,

I do update Firefox regularly and have no bad experiences with releases.
I am a Slackware64 Gnu/Linux user and update with ruario's latest-firefox.sh
script that builds a Slackware package.
