finding password


could any one help around finding other user password in centos while you are login as root?

What are you actually trying to do?

Encrypted passwords can be found in /etc/shadow, no plain text passwords are stored anywhere on the system (that would defeat the purpose). Cracking these encrypted passwords is not something we can help you with (against the LQ rules).

Please elaborate...

while you can change the other user password using root why do you want to find the password ?
