Yes it is.
Windows confuses a lot of peoble because it says GB, MB, KB but actually measures in units of GiB, MiB, and KiB.
Almost all Linux software does this correctly, though. When Linux says KB, it means 1000 bytes. When Linux says KiB, it means 1024 bytes.
But when Windows says KB, it means 1024, and that's simply wrong.
