FC2; Can't get high resolution in X as user

Hi.
Couldn't find any info on my problem.

Problem:
Trying to use 1280x1024 as user fails and I get 1024x768.
1280x1024 as root works fine.

Got latest FC2 Xorg files (2004,Dec 25).

Screen: hp L1925 (LCD)
Graphics card: GeForce 6800 Ultra.

Help much appreciated.

Xorg.0.log
interesting part near end.

Ok, solved it!

1) it didn't happen to all users, only me
2) There was apparently more than one place to change resolution.

I use gnome 2.6

From the program menu I had to use Settings->Screen resolution and make the change there, in order
to have 1280x1024.

Bear in mind that I use Swedish as system language, and Settings/screen resolution are my translations.
These entries might be named differently with English settings.
