High Resolution Timers


Would somebody explain High Resolution Timers? What is the benefit of this feature?
Can I get patch or package somewhere?

You mean http://high-res-timers.sourceforge.net/ ?

Thank you for your response. I tried to download hi-res-timers 2.5.
However, it shows diff source codes and I can't select any software to download.
Have you installed this patch?
