Question F11 key does not execute full screen

I installed Fedora 18 x64 on my brother's Acer model K601. Using KDE. (Still can't believe I converted him from Windows.) When F11 key is pressed a window should go to full screen, but it does not, nothing happens. How can I access key bindings or whatever I need to fix this misbehaviour? Thanks ahead of time.
