i added an other kernel to my system every thing was right.

during the LILO update i wrote similar thing that i have in my lilo file (changing releases and name) then i typed
Quote:
lilo -C /etc/lilo.config.anaconda
i got:

Must be a very old Lilo you've got.

Just do what Lilo asked you to do, i.e. add
Code:
lba32
at the beginning of /etc/lilo.conf.anaconda.

It will instruct Lilo to access your hard disk in LBA32 mode and therefore able to cross the 1024 cyclinder barrier.

But you may have arranged the Bios to address the hard disk in a certain way or have a "linear" statement in the /etc/lilo.conf.anaconda. According to Lilo documentation "Linear" is one of the Global options to enable the hard disk sectors addressed linearly instead of in a sector/head/cylinder format.
