hi all,

Message #1

cpu: 0, clocks: 994409, slice: 198881
CPU0<T0:994400,T1:795504,D:15,S:198881,C:994409>
cpu: 1, clocks: 994409, slice: 198881
cpu: 3, clocks: 994409, slice: 198881
cpu: 2, clocks: 994409, slice: 198881
CPU1<T0:994400,T1:596624,D:14,S:198881,C:994409>
CPU2<T0:994400,T1:397744,D:13,S:198881,C:994409>
CPU3<T0:994400,T1:198864,D:12,S:198881,C:994409>
checking TSC synchronization across CPUs: passed.
mtrr: your CPUs had inconsistent fixed MTRR settings
mtrr: probably your BIOS does not setup all CPUs
PCI: PCI BIOS revision 2.10 entry at 0xf0094, last bus=9

what does it mean by "does not set up all CPUs"???? Can someone tell me what happened and how to fix the issue???

thanks

These messages mean that your kernel is trying to set up a SMP which has up to 4 CPUs installed. I think that it only started one CPU, but I am not sure about that. If you are running a SMP kernel on a single CPU machine then I suggest that you switch to a single CPU kernel.
