Dual screen + tv-out

Hey guys,

I'm using Ubuntu but am posting in general because I think this is more a general matter with xorg.conf.

My question is: Can I use my tv as 3rd monitor? or aint this possible?

At the moment I'm running nvidia Twinview on 6800 GT. I must be running my tv as a separated X. Because it wouldnt fit my 2 1280x1024 screens. My tv only does 1024x768. Am I right?
So I've tried setting up my tv as 3rd monitor with the nvidia 9625 beta driver. But it doesn't work, probably still buggy options.

I've also tried it with one of my TFT screens off. But I just can't get my tv to work. After posting topics on ubuntu forums No one can help or don't care.

I hope someone here could help me configure my cfg (IF it is possible).

Probably your TV won't do higher than 1024x768, but that's my guess. Depends on your TV. If your X config is set to higher resolution, the picture probably wouldn't show up at the TV screen then.

I don't think there's a limit of 2 for the X screens you can run, but again I haven't tested -- my "biggest" try was one screen + one TV, but it failed because of ATI's drivers (weird gamma values).

Ye my tv is 1024x768. So that's why I think it must be running Separated from my dual screens (I would be pissing big parts of screen).

Because twin view works like 'span'. It actually runs 2560x1024 (what Ive understood from explanations) Unless I enable Xinerama on it.

Anyway through the drivers I can nicely select my tv as Separated X, so I think it must be possible. But first I have to get picture out of my tv which I still not managed to get to work.
