Disable kernel messages.


Quite often the following gets printed on the active terminal, trashing it:

Quote:
CPU0: Temperature above threshold
CPU0: Running in modulated clock mode
My proc is a Celeron D.

I want to stop receiving those messages as they completely screw up my terminals.

try this:

# mesg n
to disable messages in the current terminal.
