I have a valid crontab file which had been working until we sent the computer back for repairs.
I have a simple script which prints "test" in a file. The permissions are wide open on this file and its directory.
However, when I submit this file in crontab for say 2 minutes from the time running on my computer. It seems not to execute. If I try to send the output to a file
10 4 * * * $home/gtes.pl > $home/new.log
I get nothing.
I think I need to know a little more about how cron works or where to look for answers?
Hi,
Take a look if crond was started at boot time.
Sorry for my english
I think that crond service is not working.
Run setup and see if crond is marked for starting at boot time.
Maybe this is a solution for your problem.
