Computer freeze on logout

Hi,
I have recently installed ATI Radeon drivers, got my 3d accel. at last,
but now when I try to logout/reboot/shut down, my Computer freeze with a black screen.
I'm using SuSE 9 with XFree86 4.3.0.1.

I found this page - #linuxfromscratch.org/pipermail/blfs-book/2003-August/004619.html# but I don't know what to do with it.

Help, anybody ?
