Compile kernel problem!


After having compiled the kernel, there is lots of problem while booting up. The system supsend at
"INIT: verson 2.84 booting"

There is a high chance that you have forgotten about some drivers. Use old kernel to boot and kompile this new one once again. You still have the old one, right?

If you destroy the old one, use your Linux cd to boot with

Just type something like :
Linux root=/dev/(your partition where linux is) ro

If I tell you the syntax correctly it should works
