Compare BSH and Linux

Hi All:

I am now using Debian Linux 3.0 with kernel 2.4.

I heard that BSD is very powerful (especially in very high network loading situation).

Does anyone know the GOOD and BAD of BSD?

Thanks.

The *BSD's have slightly better network stacks, which likely won't make a huge difference on anything but the largest and most stressed network router. Linux, generally, has more hardware support sooner, as its developed publically at a faster pace by more developers. Both will do what you need well.

Some people think Chuck, the little daemon, it cuter than Tux, the linux penguin. . .

The BSD ports system is reputed to be very good. Since Gentoo is based on the same system, I can see why. . .

I use/have used both. I can't state a preference.
