checksums for rsync and tar

hi all,

if i use this command

rsync -vh /source /destination

it shows me the sent, recieved, bytes/sec total size and seedup information of the rsync job

i have read that rsync can do checksums of the source and destination to see if they match, what is the option or command for this

also i think, correct me if im wrong but you can do checksums for tars aswell?

many thanks

rob

I think you should see
Code:
man rsync
first.

Have a Good Day!
