changing user shells


i'm running slack8, and have a user account i just created. everything's working fine, except that the user's default shell is sh and not bash. how do i go about changing the user's shell to bash?

to make it permanent.. edit the passwd file to point to /usr/bin/bash instead of sh

man chsh

This allows a user to to change to the shell of their preference, as long as it is in the /etc/shells file.
