User id (needs changing)

I have 4 linux boxes that I have an account on that I have tried to cross mount home directories on and that worked. But now I am running into problems becuase all the machines don't have the same userid (uid) for my username and account. How can I fix this? Is there a simple way to remove my account and then add it again with the same uid on all machines? I am the only user on these machines so could I just copy a few of the passwd files around (or something like that too)?

Just change the ids in /etc/passwd and /etc/group to be the same on all machines. You will need to reset permissions on the users file and folders afterwards too.
