changing grub's OS name


hi there,

i have both rh9 and winXP installed on the same machine.
is there a way i can change the name of how windows name is on the grub? it is "dos" and i would like to change it to "winxp". not much of a need, but i would like more with the real os name.

thanks.

What you want to do is open your menu.lst file in /boot/grub/.

Once you have it open, you will see a title of dos, change that to reflect what you want it to be named.

i.e.

edit your grub configurations in /boot/grub/grub.conf
