CD writer buffer size

How can I determine the CD writer buffer size? I don't have the manual for the ATAPI CD writer ,the manufacturer of which is liteon.I could try their webpage but I was wondering if there is any way I can determine that without going through the website .I tried the cdrecord manpage and came up with nothing.Any help will be appreciated!
