can Linux power a Roku type device for Netflix movies??


I have been using Linux for years and now see that Netflix has a device which hooks into your home network wirelessly to download movies to it's memory for watching on your TV later. This device is called the Roku which is basically a computer running some networking software to save information to it's memory. So, Linux already does this on my computers (networking)-could Linux power some Netflix networking hardware (not Roku)??

XBox 360, TiVo, and some Blu Ray players also are other devices that Netflix says can be used in place of Roku here:

Well, I know that Netflix doesn't let Firefox show its watch instantly movies, only IE and Netscape (for proprietary reasons, I'm sure) sooooo...
