Can't play CRACK ATTACK in mandrake

Hello all,

i have a problem, i am pretty sure it is quite simple to solve, but i need some advice. when i start the game, the screen goes blank for sometime and then the game exits. i then checked in the terminal for any errors.

fortunatelty i got one and it said:

" Can't initialize the sound driver -- exitting game"

i am sure i have the right sound driver and is works when i play songs and all.

what am i supposed to do here???

If you are using KDE or Gnome, their sound daemon may be interfering with the game's ability to use the sound card. Issue one of these commands and try the game again:

Code:
<kde>
killall artsd
<gnome>
killall esd
That should do it.
