Can't install kernel headers in Arch

Hi, all. I'm trying to install the "kernel26-headers" package in Arch so I can (try to) compile the Intel 865G graphics drivers from off their website (I can't get H/W acceleration working with xf86-video-intel, but I know the thing has a GPU, because if I boot a Knoppix CD that I have, it enables Compiz by default, and it works damn well).

Any time I try "pacman -S kernel26-headers" I just get a bunch of errors spat back at me:

Code:
error: failed retrieving file 'kernel26-headers-2.6.32.7-1-i686.pkg.tar.gz' from <location> : <reason>
with <reason> typically being "Not found" or "File unavailable (e.g., file not found, no access)".

Now, I have tried enabling all the US mirrors (HTTP and FTP), and I have even tried a couple of FTP servers in Canada and even Great Britain. None of them seem to work at all!

Is there any way I can get this package?

Now why didn't I think of that? It's updating now, apparently including a brand spanking new xf86-video-intel, so I may not have to compile/install the Intel-provided drivers after all...we'll see after a reboot.

UPDATE: Well, things seem to be working (I have Xfwm compositing now, yay!), but still no 3D acceleration. Oh, well. Back to the CLI to install those kernel headers (if they're not already there after the update, LOL) and compile the Intel drivers to see if they work...

After many years of occassional Arch usage, I had somehow gotten away with not synching before trying to install something. Finally, I received a stern lecture over at the Arch forum. Now I try to do "pacman -Syy"** before even looking for something. However, ever since I got KDE 4.4 and FF 3.6 dumped on me, I think twice before doing a global update.

I picked this up as part of setting up the mirrors using the "rankmirrors" command---I don't fully understand the logic, but the wiki author was emphatic.

My REAL plan is to learn one or more of the more friendly front ends that people have written.
