trying to find/install kernel-source or kernel-headers

I've spent too much precious Friday night time trying to find the kernel-headers to link or install. My searches result in threads where most people are told to install using some sort of program (apt-get, Yast, etc.). I've tried

swaret --install kernel-headers-2.4.26

with no luck. (Swaret does indicate that kernel-source-2.4.26-noarch-4 is installed)

I've tried looking for tarballs or packages to download and install but had no success.

Please advise. thanks

edit: I need these for Nvidia driver installation

how did you install Slackware ?
i mean : do you have cd1 and cd2 ?

if so, those files are on the cd, and maybe already installed.
( incase you did a full install ).

and for swaret et al:
if you're just starting with Slack and not yet know how to repair things incase of troubles,
it's not wise to use them.
by the time you found your way with Slack you won't need them.

the best way to keep up with the updates is to take a look at the changelogs at Slackware.com every now and then,
and if you need to upgrade a package, get it from a mirror and use "upgradepkg " to install it.
