Unhappy Browser + Compression

Hello,

I just installed Linux Red Hat Enterprise 3 (WS) on my server.
What is the browser used by this Linux flavor, and how can I start it up ?
Also, I there a utility or command to uncompress files downloaded from the internet ?

Regards,

Paolo

Usually Mozilla, Galeon or Konqueror or Nautilus are installed more or less by default on RH systems. Konqueror/Nautilus are file managers which double up as browsers. Mozilla/Galeon are pure browsers. Look at your RH menu (normally the red hat on your task bar) and see what is installed.

That final bit also goes for the de/compressor - unless you have specifically not chosen one an unzip program will have been installed. I'd also suggest going to the RH website and reading the documentation provided.

Unhappy Browser + Mounting Hard Drives

Hello,

Do you mean that I can simply invoke the Browser from the RH Menu. Is this true for Linux Red Hat Enterprise 3 (WS) and (ES) versions ?

I also will have to mount 3 Hard Drives in order to install the Datafile portion of an Oracle Database. Oracle Database Server portion will be installed on the Master Hard Drive and the datafiles on the 2 other Hard drives.

How can I go about doing this ?

Regards,

Paolo
