Bootable CD with CDRW support

Hi
Actually i want to make a bootable cd for my linux (red hat 9) system. Basicaly wat i want is that this CD will help me to recover the files in case of system crash as i m new to linux i play a lot with my kernel and my system crashes very frquently. So my requirement for the cd is that it will boot my system and load the drivers for "IDE CD writer" so that i can take the back up of my data from it.
Can anybody help me with this.
I ll be really greateful

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
