Boot problem
Recently helped a friend with the installation of Latest version of RedHat on his windows 98/2000 machine.
I don't like putting Linux on the same disk as windows so we got another 20 gig drive.
We actually started from scatch win98 1st on primary partitioned as 12gig than 2000 on the remaining 8gig. I than installed 7.3 on the other drive (slave). Problem now is that before putting on Linux we could boot into 2000 & change to 98 but now when it gets to the lilo boot it has the 'dos option that should take me into windows but when i choose it i get the error EFIL & than seems to lock up the floppy drive looking for a disk???
I can boot linux fine if i choose it lilo.conf is as follows
prompt
timeout=50
default=linux
boot=/dev/hda
map=/boot/map
install=/boot/boot.b
message=/boot/message
lba32
image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.4.7-10
label=linux
initrd=/boot/initrd-2.4.7-10.img
read-only
root=/dev/hdb2
other=/dev/hda5
optional
label=dos
Running /sbin/fdisk/ -l shows the following
