hi there
i bought a sony viao pcg-k415b not so long ago and due to certain friends had to re-install windows service pack 2. unfortunatley this was not from the master disc that was neaver sent with the computer. after a few sleepless nights gathering all the correct drivers back together the computer is holding out on one driver, the ATI Radeon 345M chipset. i have tried so many times to re-install the drivers for it but still it refuses to work and considering my screes is half the size it should be its starting to get on my nerves. i have tried the ATI site, the Sony Viao site and various others without sucess.
please if any one knows how to solve this problem please let me know.

Is this even linux related?

1. Install not windows
2. install not as always recommended the chipset driver as first driver cause at the end the system could work good
3. do not install anti virus software cause then you won't have the joy of getting crazy
4. Visit a Windows Forum.

Just joking ... like jayakrishnan has asked you already. Where is the point when it gets Linux related?
