apache and windows-1256 charset


Hello ...


i have problem with apache , when i try to show windows-1256 pages it's show it like this "السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته عزيزي الزائر لتتمكن من المشاركة معنا في المنتدى عليك"

it's ISO-8859-1 charset , what should i do to support windows-1256 in apache ?

You can take a look here to see what you have to do. Also you must use the following tag in those pages:

<META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" charset=windows-1256">
Mind that it's better to use the ISO-8859-x encondings instead of the windows encondings, or better yet the UTF-8 encoding.
