AD password changes not reflect on RHEL ldap clients
I am new to posting to support forums so forgive me if I say something silly.
Currently I am running RHEL5 and using LDAP to authenticate users to my Win2k3 Domain Controllers running SFU. Authenticaiton and retrieval of user information works great except for when a user changes their password on a windows machine connected to AD. The password change is reflected on the windows side of things, but when the user goes to login to our RHEL machines they are forced to use their old password.
This seems to be happening only on my RHEL machines as my machine that runs solaris requires the new password.
The RHEL machines were recently updated from a configuration that utilized NIS/Samba for authentication and user caching was turned on. I turned off user caching when I switched over to the all LDAP scheme.
Is this old cache still in use? Can I delete the old cached user information? If it isn't caching, what is going on?
