Accessing iTunes Music In Linux

Hi,

I have two hard drives. One has windows on it with iTunes and over 3000 songs in it. I would like to be able to use some sort of software in Linux (my other hard drive) to access these songs in a library format with all of their tags (title, artist, album, etc)

Thanks

Did you purchase the songs from the iTunes music store? If so they will contain DRM and you can't easily play them without iTunes itself.

If they are not DRM encumbered, you could use something like amarok. This is probably the most iTunes-like audio player for Linux today. There are many others. To use amarok on your music collection, you'll need to install the relevant codecs, and be able to access your windows partition from Linux.

Amarok for KDE, Banshee for Gnome or GTKPod for both. You will need to have installed/compiled them with support for AAC (IIRC).
