wow.exe going to sleep on me

well exactly as the title reads, I'm running the latest version of wine on FC8 and I can get into wow(sometimes) but the problem is that after a few minutes the controls lock up so alt tab to my system monitor to see that the wow.exe process is sleeping! i tell it to continue but if it has been more than 30 secs it will not restart and will have to be killed. the problem as I see it is that any inactive program, and by inactive i mean anything that isnt taking input and output constantly is going to sleep,I need a way to not allow it to sleep.

Also as an aside to any other wow linux players, do you know a way to lower the video settings without loading the game, and i do mean all the settings from the config.wtf file if so let me know.

Thanks in advance for the help.
