winex, wine and cedega?
Ok so for windows game emulation we have wine, winex and cedega. Wine is open source and free, while winex and cedega which have better support are only available paying, but what is the difference between winex and cedega? They're both from transgaming and you have to subscribe to get them. Thanks, just want to understand more about these emulators so i might get one.

WineX and Cedega are the same thing. With the release of 4.0 they renamed it Cedega. You can get the CVS for WineX 3.1 for free from the transgaming site. Cedega is better for gaming than Wine, although Wine is catching up in support for DirectX.

No problem. If you're trying to play a game you should definately try Wine before wasting money on Cedega. With some tweaking it tends to work. Of course sometimes you can't get either to work, but at least Cedega has good support.
