Preparing to install default Wine registry entries...
Installing default Wine registry entries...

Invalid path 'c:\windows' for windows directory: does not exist
Perhaps you have not properly edited or created your Wine configuration file.
This is (supposed to be) '/root/.wine/config'
Registry install failed.

deb-box:/usr/src/winex# atexit destroy of semaphore

Could you please post your .wine/config file? There might be a clue in there.

I get this one :
Preparing to install default Wine registry entries...
Installing default Wine registry entries...

Could not stat /root/.transgaming/c_drive (No such file or directory), ignoring drive C:
Invalid path 'c:\windows' for windows directory: does not exist
Perhaps you have not properly edited or created your Wine configuration file.
This is (supposed to be) '/root/.wine/config'
Registry install failed.

atexit destroy of semaphore
atexit destroy of shared_memory

Are you running as root on purpose?

Wine thinks you are root (not your normal user), so is looking in
Quote:
/root/.transgaming/c_drive
for your pseudo-C: drive.

If you see a prompt that ends with a pound sign (hash, octothorpe, whatever), like this:
Code:
hostname:/home/you#
... you su'ed to root somewhere along the line. Do this:
Code:
hostname:/home/you# exit
you@hostname:~$
... and try again.
