Warcraft III - reign of chaos can't find CDROM

Hello

Any one can help me configuring my Cedega to run this gama.

I've installed with no errors, and now that i'm trying to run-it i get the error that the game cannot find the CDROM drive.

This is my config file, and i hope that someone can help me.

Easiest way to fix that is to download the nocd patch for your version. http://www.gamecopyworld.com

You might also put the CD-ROM in your PATH statement; as you see, it is not there:
Quote:
[Drive D]
"Path" = "/mnt/cdrom"
"Type" = "cdrom"
"Label" = "DS9TheFallen"
"Filesystem" = "win95"
"Device" = "/dev/hdc"

"Path" = "c:\\windows\\;c:\\windows\\system32\\"
Also, is your CD-ROM mounted and accessible to users at the time that you try to do this?

I'd try FrostBot's advice then; and also check the Transgaming forums (both the old ones and the new ones) to see if this is a known issue.

Wine has some trouble handling copy protection. The simplest thing to do to skip copy protection is to download a no cd crack for your games.

Upgrade Warcraft to the latest patch, then find a nocd crack for it and install it.

I get this problem when I try to install. I'm using winex. Right after I choose my installation directory I get this error:

Code:
Setup cannot read a required data file. Your Warcraft III CD may not be in the CDROM drive. blab blah

support\BattleNet\(Mac)BNetMenu.html
Error 0x000000002: File not found
(DiskUndo.cpp:343)

Retry or Cancel
The CD is deffinately in the drive - I can read other files from it.

Thanks,
Zac

If the file is supposed to be on the CD, and is in fact on the CD (but can't be read), try the first line of defense:

Clean the CD. Maybe there's a spot or smudge right where that file is.

Well, the thread title says "reign of chaos", so I guess it's Reign of Chaos. No idea what versions that comprises though, as I don't play Warcraft 3 .

Reign Of Chaos

A friend of mine sent the crack to me .. i can send to anyone that want.

I have now a small problem .. i cannot play the game because the Menu screen, the on with the rain, is too slow.

I don't have a very good Video Card, but i don't think that is necessary. What is the minimum??

when i move the mouse, i expect almot 15s to see the movement....

any one know how to speed the game???

yeah reign of chaos and I'm trying to install from the CD so its whatever the default version is. It would appear that winex is having trouble mapping warcraft 3 to /mnt/cdrom. I googled and I found a lot of warcraft 3 stuff, but didn't see anything on my issue. Maybe I'm doing something wrong... This is my first time using winex so I don't really know.

Thanks in advance.

Hey Moebius, I've got the exact same problem. I've also been googling, and searching for solutions here at LQ, but nothing seems to help. Let's post anything we find on the topic here
