ut2003 for Linux is primarily aimed at nvidia cards
it might play on other cards
but it wont look too good

if you have an nvidia card
check the XF86Config file (XF86Config-4 on mandrake)
and make sure the load GLX is NOT hashed out (# at beginning of line)
