snes emulator for linux


is there any snes emulators for linux ? I`m running one trough wine but it does not work very good, the sound is laggy and so is the picture, Is there any emulators witch is made for linux ?

zsnes has a native port for linux. use that

Actually, Google can be a bit misleading (I'd try a regular Google search with the string "unix OR linux" after keywords instead). Snes9x used to be the leading SNES emulator, but for the last several years, zsnes has been the most popular on any platform, with excellent compatibility, speed, and a nice GUI, and is portable to unix since it's SDL-based. (as a correction to the reply that appeared just before I was about to post this, it's not a "linux port" per se, it's a single codebase, using some bits tailored for unix - the beauty of portable software...).

zsnes works perfectly with wine but well... then i discovered there is a native version of zsnes lol

Is there any updates of zsnes emulator, I still find an old version of the emulator. I need some new good SNES Emulators for playing SNES games on Linux. It would be nice if someone suggests SNES Emulator updated.

Use RetroArch with the Higan core.
