Slackware stops booting...

Ok, i decided to go with Slackware 9.1 for learning reasons. I configed xf86config so i could use gnome. Messed around in gnome to customize some settings. Everything was going fine and dandy till i rebooted. GO FIGURE! It goes through some booting phases and stops with this last message...

Starting sendmail MTA daemon: /usr/sbin/sendmail -L sm-mta -bd -q25m

what does all this mean? It won't boot up now!

Alright... I let the boot process ride out for a couple of minutes and it ended up booting back up. Cool!
